We just got an early treat for Christmas and we are very excited to share it with you!
This getaway should be on your bucket list this holiday season and you can definitely take our word for it. May it be a romantic, a family or a barkada getaway, Casa Belinda will not disappoint!
Casa Belinda is a family-owned rest house located in Lipa, Batangas, a mere 1.5 hours away from Manila. It is a two-bedroom country-styled cottage (which I’m head over heels infatuated with) that can accommodate up to 6 pax. The interior design, fixtures, and furniture were very well thought of. Everything is convenient and is designed to give the guests a comfortable and well-deserved R&R.
If you book Casa Belinda, you will have the whole cottage for yourself, exclusive access to the pools, billiards, pingpong table, a tree house, and you also get to tour the owner’s organic lettuce farm. For a very luxurious getaway, who would’ve thought that this would only cost you Php 8,000? Yes, you read that right! For that price, you can already bring in your whole gang for this very memorable holiday experience!
We decided to take Peja’s sisters with us because a place like this deserves to be shared! After receiving our welcome drinks, the staff toured us around the cottage. It has two bedrooms– a master bedroom and a guest room, a very elegant comfort room, a wide living room, a veranda, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The aesthetic designing of this place is a feast for the eyes and mind.
Peja and I stayed in the master bedroom. It has an AC unit, cable TV with Bose speakers, and floor to ceiling windows– ideal for people who want to be greeted by the the sun in the morning. Linens are thick, mattress is soft and the whole room smells like a spa! (Okay, I know now the secret on how to make your home smell like this. It’s lavender! This cottage is loaded with it.) The master bedroom is spacious with lots of storage and can accommodate up to 3 persons.
The guest room can accommodate up to 3 persons as well. It has an AC unit, TV, and access to the balcony.
The elegant comfort room deserves its own highlight too. Every detail is sophisticated and classy. I made sure to take a mental note on the details for future references of my future home.
It has a water heater with rainshower, a powder area, and a complete set of toiletries. You really just have to bring yourself!
The design of the living room is very airy and inviting . You can choose to open the sliding doors to let the cool breeze in or you can also open the AC unit on hotter days. There’s a La-Z-boy sofa that you can recline when watching the TV and a stationary bike if you want to do some exercise while you’re at it. 🙂
I swear, being in this cottage lulls me to sleep every time. I’m not sure why, maybe because of the cool breeze? or the cozy ambiance? Either way, it gives you this relaxing feeling like you’re in a cabin in the mountains surrounded by pine trees.
You can bring your own ingredients and cook your meals in the kitchen. For our dinner on the first night, we prepared pasta and pan-grilled steak with buttered potatoes. We also ordered lettuce in the owner’s organic farm and they gave us some dressings to go with it.
A complimentary breakfast for the group is also included when you book at Casa Belinda.
We had two different breakfast sets and both were delicious and very filling. What’s even better is that you can choose to have your breakfast anywhere in the property!
Our first breakfast consisted of corned beef, beef tapa (marinated beef), scrambled eggs, tomatoes, fruit juices, and Barako coffee. We decided to have it by the pool after the morning swim.
For our second breakfast, even if there were just the two of us left, the breakfast was still plenty! We decided to take out the leftovers for our trip back home. Haha.
As mentioned earlier, booking at Casa Belinda gives you full access to the amenities like the Jacuzzi, lap pool, the game room, tree house, and tour of the lettuce farm. You can also play golf at the nearby club if you want to for an additional fee. You can contact the owner for more details about this. 🙂
Chloe had such a great time frolicking in the Jacuzzi. It’s very kid-friendly and it isn’t deep. However, please take note that there are no lifeguards on duty so make sure to keep an eye on the children at all times. The water in the pool is very gentle and clean, perfect for my sensitive skin! Yay!
Here’s the game room where you can play darts, pingpong and billiards. It also has its own comfort room.
The photo below is the nearby country club where you can play golf. You can see this one from the cottage’s veranda.
This is the tree house. Be cautious when going up!
The organic lettuce farm was a delight to visit too, so make sure you drop by and take a look at it. The veggies are so green and they look very enticing. All in all, we bought 1 kilo for only Php 250!
If you think Casa Belinda looks wonderful in daylight, then you will be more amazed come night time. The whole place glows with Paris lights (I named it that, it looked like Paris lights in my opinion) and different lightings from the pool. Night swimming couldn’t get any better than this!
Since the weather permitted and there was just the two of us on our second night, Peja and I decided to have a dinner date outdoors under the big tree. We had Samgyupsal and we cooked the pork belly in their newly-built barbecue pit. The meal we prepared wasn’t too romantic because we didn’t know there would be this kind of set-up in the place. If I had known, maybe I would’ve prepared a meal more fitting. 😆
Pro tip: This dinner date set-up is ideal for proposals!
